Click, tap, click, tap, click, tap. Prancing feet run from one side of the bed to the other. Click, tap, click, tap. As his nails sound against the wood floors. It’s our alarm clock. It is Rocko.Β
Rocko does not seem to know that there is a thing called weekends-even though we have told him countless times. He does not listen when we say, “Just 30 more minutes!” Instead he continues to run from one side of the bed to the other. Click, tap, click, tap, click, tap. Then, peering over the side of the bed to say, “Wake up, wake up.”
Even though I definitely wanted to sleep 30 more minutes this morning, I also loved to see Rocko’s loving face excited to wake us up, indifferent to the weekend.
My alarm clock is my cat, Waffle! Thanks for some slice inspiration…I think I’ll write about her!

Rocko is so cute! I hate early mornings, but I think I’d get up for him, too! π

If you have to wake up early on a Saturday morning, this sounds like the way to do it!

My dog Lucy is a slug-a-bed. She waits until she hears the crinkle of the food bag before she gets up. I am her alarm clock.

I have never had a pet but I have always found it interesting that past could be my alarm clock! I would rather wake up to the sound of a playful companion than a ringing alarm. Only positive about the alarm is you really can press snooze ππΌ

Glad you enjoy your time with your dog π This however, is why we don’t and never will have a dog! I like my sleep too much! We trained the kids to leave us alone in the morning…not sure we could train a dog to do the same though, lol!
